This Climate Festival is a forum to convey the best practices that have been carried out in the context of implementing GHG emission reductions and increasing climate resilience in Indonesia so that they can be used as lessons for stakeholders. This is another one of the events that Global Virtual Events organized with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of The Republic of Indonesia (KLHK). This Climate Festival event consisted of various sub-events from the 5th to the 19th October 2021, including sub-national Focus Group Discussions (FGD), thematic webinars, and competitions. Also, as part of the main event, there was the opening of the Climate Festival and the closing event.
During the one-month festival, our team was responsible for both online and onsite event management. For on-site events, we managed the event flow, the rapid antigen testing, souvenir gifts, provided the LED stage and hired the Master of Ceremonies. In preparation for the events, we held a number of meetings such as coordination meetings to discuss the concept of the event on location, surveys of the location and general rehearsals with the committee and with the MC. We organized numerous online webinars throughout the festival. We also provided several dedicated teams who made sure that each webinar was well attended and delivered professionally. As part of the festival, we were also requested to create a Virtual Exhibition in the form of a website to help participants access sub-events. In the virtual exhibition platform, the participants were able to participate in competitions, find information regarding the climate festivals and several areas of interest and also attend thematic webinars. All of the online webinars and the opening and closing of the festivals were livestreamed and can be watched on the DITJEN PPI KLHK YouTube channel.
