Valued, Heard, Included: The Three Pillars of Inclusive Events | Event Organizer Services

What does it mean to be inclusive?
Inclusivity means being open, welcoming, and accessible to everyone—without exception. It’s not only about who attends, but also about how each individual feels welcomed, safe, and given equal space to participate. Inclusivity celebrates diversity as a strength and ensures that all participants feel truly valued.

What is an inclusive event?
An inclusive event is one that is thoughtfully designed with participant diversity, accessibility needs, and active engagement in mind. It covers all aspects—from physical infrastructure, communication systems, and the social experiences embedded in the event itself.

At Global Events, we believe that inclusive events are not a passing trend but a new standard that should be upheld in every event. As a professional provider of event organizer services, we ensure that all these needs are fully accommodated with precision and care. In 2025, Global Events received an award from the Sign Language Interpreter Service Center at the 2025 PLJ Award event, in recognition of Global Event’s (Bahasa Global Group) efforts to promote social inclusion for the Deaf community by providing adequate access to sign language interpreters.

The Three Pillars of Inclusive Events

  1. Valued
Participants feel valued when their basic needs are taken into consideration—such as wheelchair ramps, inclusive stage designs, and layouts that prioritize everyone’s comfort.
  2. Heard
Participants feel heard when the event provides equal access to communication through real-time subtitles, sign language interpreters, or a simultaneous interpretation system.
  3. Included
Participants feel included when they can interact, actively contribute, and follow the event—whether in-person or online—in a safe, welcoming atmosphere.

How Do Event Organizer Services Play a Role in Inclusive Events?

One of the tangible examples of Global Events’ commitment to delivering inclusive event organizer services was our support for Breaking Barriers: UK–Indonesia Collaboration in Shaping Inclusive Futures, hosted by the British Council Indonesia on Thursday, December 5, 2024.

This hybrid event brought together key figures, including the Indonesian Minister of Culture, the Country Director and Director for Southeast Asia of the British Council, as well as prominent disability advocates.

Entrusted as the official event organizer service provider, Global Events ensured that every aspect of the event was fully inclusive. We provided:

  • Professional sign language interpreters
  • Wheelchair-accessible spaces and paths (international standard wheelchair ramps)
  • Real-time subtitles from fast typists
  • Simultaneous interpretation systems

But inclusivity is more than just accessibility. Our team also managed:

  • Stage setup with a mini garden and inclusively designed breakout workshops
  • Interactive and informative exhibition panels
  • Décor that emphasized the values of diversity and inclusiveness
  • Clear and interactive printed and digital signage
  • Virtual event organizing with live streaming across multiple platforms
  • Complete audio-video equipment: cameras, sound systems, wireless microphones, and TV screens
  • Customized ID cards, lanyards, and participant pins
  • High-speed internet backup
  • Full coordination of catering and refreshment needs

And many more…

With this holistic approach, we ensure that every participant—regardless of background or ability—can attend, engage, and feel truly part of the event experience.

At Global Events, we believe that organizing an inclusive event is not merely about meeting technical standards, it’s about creating a human, meaningful experience. As an experienced event organizer service provider, we don’t just supply technical setups; we build events that genuinely embrace everyone.

Because the most successful events are not just those that run smoothly, they’re the ones where everyone feels valued, heard, and included.
