Climate Festival 2021 – Organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) in collaboration with GGGI

Climate Festival 2021 was a platform to showcase best practices implemented in the efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and enhance climate resilience in Indonesia—offering valuable lessons for stakeholders across sectors. This event was organized by Global Virtual Events in collaboration with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia (MoEF/KLHK).

The Climate Festival consisted of various sub-events held from October 5 to 19, 2021, including sub-national Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), thematic webinars, and multiple competitions. As part of the main agenda, an opening ceremony and a closing event for the festival were also held.

Throughout the month-long festival, our team was responsible for managing both online and offline activities. For the onsite events, we coordinated the flow of the program, administered rapid antigen testing, distributed souvenirs, provided LED stage setup, and arranged the services of a professional Master of Ceremonies (MC). Leading up to the event, we also conducted coordination meetings to discuss the event concept on-site, carried out location surveys, and held technical rehearsals with the organizing committee and MC.

During the festival, we also hosted numerous online webinars and deployed a dedicated team to ensure every session ran smoothly and professionally. As part of the festival deliverables, we were also requested to develop a Virtual Exhibition website, designed to allow participants easy access to sub-events. Within the platform, attendees could join competitions, access information about the Climate Festival and related topics, and attend thematic webinars.

All online webinars, along with the festival’s opening and closing ceremonies, were broadcast live and made available on the YouTube channel of the Directorate General of Climate Change, MoEF (DITJEN PPI KLHK).
